National BAME Youth Forum for Wales Forum

March saw the re-launch of the National BAME Youth Forum in Wales (which was initially set up in the 1980’s) and our young people had our first meeting at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. We have the support of Vaughan Gething AM and are currently exploring options for mentoring and shadowing schemes at the Welsh Assembly.

We have organised a meeting with Joyce Watson AM Commissioner for Equalities and Assembly Staff at the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff in May so watch this space! Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to join the youth forum – its free to join and it’s for anyone aged between 13 – 30yrs old.

If you are interested in joining, please go to www.racecouncilcymru.org.uk/youth to sign up and we shall keep you informed of future meetings and opportunities.
