Windrush Cymru for Windrush 75: Celebrating the Stories of the Windrush Generation in Wales

windrush cymru for windrush 75 new stories from across wales to mark the 75th anniversary of windrush

We’re excited to announce that our Windrush Cymru project is expanding with 25 new stories from across Wales to mark the 75th anniversary of Windrush. We aim to capture, document, and celebrate the contributions and experiences of the Windrush Generation and their families who arrived in the UK between 1948 and 1988.

We would love to hear from any first, second or third of our Windrush community members here in Wales interested in participating in our documentary – recording your story and that of your families.

We welcome hearing from people who come from or whose families come from Commonwealth nations, as we are keen to honour the contributions of people from all Commonwealth countries.

To take part in our project or learn more about it, please get in touch with Lisa at [email protected]. We’re eager to hear from you and document your stories, and we believe every story is unique and worth preserving.

Together, let’s celebrate the contributions of the Windrush Generation and their families in Wales and honour their legacy for generations to come.
