Race Equality Conferences 2018

We are currently in the process of organising our Race Equality conferences in both North and South Wales to mark the 50th anniversary of the passing of the Race Relations Act 1968. Ideally, we want to work with local police services, Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs), local authorities, schools, community groups, third sector groups, other ethnic minority groups and businesses to explore the impact the Race Relations Act 1968 has had over the past 50years. RCC South and North Wales teams visited North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner, North Wales Police Chief Constable and the force Diversity Officer at the Police Headquarters at Colwyn Bay to discuss the possibility of a partnership approach in north Wales, for black history and the Race Equality Conference in October.

We also plan to work with partners to have workshops to explore racism, diversity and hate crime. If you would like to support or partner with us for this conference, please email [email protected] to discuss further.
