WINDRUSH DAY 2023 FUNDING
Following the successful distribution of the Welsh Governments’ Windrush Grant 2022, we are delighted to invite organisations to download the Windrush Grant guidance document and funding application form for Windrush @75 Grant 2023. This grant will enable successful diverse community groups across Wales to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Windrush Generations' arrival into the UK.
Applications Now Open
We are aware how short the timescale is for Windrush planning and for the application process. We are opening up the application route for funding, to support diverse ethnic community events, activities scheduled in June or July 2023. Applicants may request up to £3500 max worth of funding through this grant.
Applications can be submitted for funding between £100 and £4999 per group/ organisation

Race Council Cymru works to promote race equality, art, heritage and cultural activities for Black and minority ethnic communities across Wales.

Race Council Cymru (RCC) was established in 2010 as an overarching umbrella body with the mission to bring together key organisations within Wales to cooperate on promoting integration, championing justice and race equality in institutions and society.
RCC engages with Black Asian and Minority Ethnic grassroots communities and works directly with the local authority, governing bodies and businesses to promote awareness of race inequality. We work to establish and facilitate channels of communication with minority ethnic and grassroots communities throughout Wales in conjunction with and on behalf of Primary Stakeholders, Welsh Government, Local Authorities and other such private and public bodies.

WINDRUSH DAY 2023 FUNDING
In these difficult and unprecedented times, Race Council Cymru recognises the serious impact on all of our communities arising from Covid-19 and we are doing as much as we can to support and signpost our communities to the latest official up to date information and guidance in as many languages as possible.
All RCC staff continue to work from their own homes now that our office building has had to shut to the public and we will be uploading information about ongoing projects, opportunities and support services as we receive them.
Windrush Day 2023 Funding
We are delighted to announce that Race Council Cymru has been awarded a contract from the Welsh Government to manage the distribution of funds for Windrush Day 2023 as we did in 2022. This grant will enable successful diverse commonwealth community groups to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Windrush Generations’ arrival into the UK.
