Welcome to the Windrush and Commonwealth Compensation Engagement Sessions!

Come join us at The Bute Building for an informative event where you can learn more about the compensation process.

📅 Thursday 3rd & Friday 4th July 2025

🕘 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

📍 Bute Building, King Edward VII Avenue, Cardiff, CF10 3NB

🎟️ Free to attend – Lunch provided

Join us for a two-day information and support event led by the Home Office Windrush Team, in partnership with Race Council Cymru and the Windrush Cymru Elders.

This event is designed to support Windrush generation individuals, their families, and community advocates in understanding the Windrush and Commonwealth Compensation Scheme.

What’s on offer:

  • Information sessions on the Windrush Compensation Scheme
  • Small group discussions about your rights and eligibility
  • One-to-one consultations with the Home Office team

Whether you’re directly affected, supporting a family member, or working in a community organisation – this is an opportunity to speak directly with officials, ask questions, and get support.

The same sessions will run on both days. You only need to attend one day.

Who should attend?

  • Individuals from the Windrush generation
  • Family members of those affected
  • Community advocates and support workers
  • Anyone helping others navigate the compensation process

Let’s ensure those affected get the support they are entitled to. Please share widely your outreach could make a real difference.
