The Black History Month Wales (BHMW) is managed by Race Council Cymru (RCC), facilitated by the Black History Management Committee made up of members from across Wales and the RCC BHM Youth Awards is part of the BHMW 2016 celebrations, with several events held across Wales in the month of October.
To celebrate BHMW 2016, this year’s theme is ‘Young, Gifted and Black’. We wish to recognise the achievements of young people from African and African Caribbean heritage living in Wales between the ages of 13yrs – 30yrs.
The award ceremony will be led by Race Council Cymru with awards being presented by the Minister responsible for Communities at the Senedd, Cardiff Bay on the 30th of September 2016 from 12.00pm – 2.30pm. Closing date is August 31st 2016
