The charity works with diverse ethnic minority groups and individuals across Wales to deliver the projects listed below. SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS
01 Crossing Borders: Music & Heritage
Crossing Borders is a Heritage Lottery Funded Project which focuses on young ethnic minority musicians and dancers, seeing how their heritage affects their music and dance work.
02 Black History Cymru 365
Black History Cymru 356 is a newly established project that aims to celebrate African history and heritage throughout the year in Wales.
03 Windrush
Race Council Cymru engages with the Windrush Generation in Wales to support their activities, campaign for their rights and oppose any form of discrimination aimed towards them.
04 Black History Month Wales
Black History Month is the month in which African history and heritage is celebrated throughout the UK.
05 Swansea Cultural and Digital Hub
Swansea Cultural and Digital Hub is a hub that supports ethnic minority communities and supports cultural diversity in Wales. The hub includes offices, performance stage, a computer room and much more.
06 Newport Cultural Hub
Newport Cultural Hub is being established by RCC where 21 minority ethnic communities from Newport can work together towards similar goals.
07 Hate Crime Projects
Hate Crime is an initiative to combat harassment, abuse, vilionce and hatred towards ethnic minority groups and individuals in Wales.
08 National BAME Youth Forum
National BAME Youth Forum is a project where young minority ethnic individuals can express their issues and contribute their ideas to achieve a positive change in Wales.
09 Welsh Youth Parliament
RCC has a representative in the Welsh Youth Parliament to ensure that the voices of young BAME individuals are heard and included in Welsh politics.
