Race Council Cymru (RCC) is the Wales based charity established by ethnic minority organisations in Wales to be the umbrella body for championing racial justice, equality and integration. Welsh Government funded RCC to recruit officers to lead and deliver a brand-new project as a Community Support Officer to raise awareness of hate crime and ways of reporting such crimes and incidences and further working with the police and victim support Cymru and communities and schools to ensure that referral and signposting systems are highlighted and understood by victims of racist and religious hate crime and ethnic minority community members.
The project is supported by and in partnership with police and Victim Support Cymru. The post holder and project will be based in our Grand Theatre Office in Swansea and will work across South & West Wales.
We require a passionate, driven and committed individual with understanding of working with ethnic minority communities and our partners and stakeholders in South and West Wales areas.
