Phil Offord BA(Hons), Cert Ed.

Phil is a recently retired police inspector and a learning and development professional who served with the Gloucestershire Constabulary for 30 years. He was a Director of Studies for four years at the Central Police Training & Development Agency (now the College of Policing) at Bramshill Police Staff College, in Hampshire and then at their site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Upon his return from this secondment, Phil took up the post of Principal Diversity Trainer for the Gloucestershire Constabulary and after his subsequent promotion to Inspector he later became the Inspector for Learning and Development.
In 2008, Phil completed a Certificate in Education (PcET) at the University of Wales, Newport, where in 2011 he went on to obtain a first class honours degree in Post-compulsory Education & Training. More recently, Phil has been studying for a Masters degree in Management & Leadership (Education).
During his time with the constabulary, Phil was the Deputy Chair of the national ‘Police Diversity Trainers Network’ (PDTN) and was also the Chair of ‘Ability’, the Gloucestershire Constabulary Disability Support Association. In November 2014, Phil was the recipient of the Krystian Craig Memorial Award 2014 for his services to disability equality.
